In high demand by major theaters of the world for her extraordinary vocal and stage skills. Born in Tbilisi (Georgia), received Master degree at the V. Sarajishvili State Conservatoire (Proff. G. Kariauli). Having been awarded Special Prize of Teatro alla Scala at H.G. Belvedere competition she was admitted in the Academy of Teatro alla Scala without an entrance exam. She is a winner of prestigious international voice competitions including the P. Domingo’s Operalia, the Concourse International de Chant de la Ville de Toulouse, the F. Viñas Competition of Barcelona, the H.G. Belvedere International Competition in Vienna, the E. Obraztsova International Vocal Competition in Saint-Petersburg and the Georgian Musicians National and Youth Competitions. 

 

In 2002, still a student of Conservatory, Ketevan Kemoklidze made her debut as Maddalena in Rigoletto, title role in Amadigi and Emilia in Otello, distinguished by fine singing and promising quality. 


Subsequently appears successfully at many of the world's major opera houses including: as a charming Rosina at Gran Teatre del Liceu, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Theatre du Capitole in Toulouse, Teatro Regio di Parma, Teatro Massimo in Palermo, Opera de Nice, Opera National in Montpellier, Deutshe Oper am Rhein, Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Opéra Municipal de Marseille and at Washington National Opera where was invited by Maestro Domingo after winning his competition. Also thanks to his invitation she made her notable role and house debut as Cenerentola at the Los Angeles Opera. 


After her outstanding debut as Carmen at Tokyo New National Theatre she is frequently invited on the world's leading venues to interpret her iconic role of fiery gypsy, including Semperoper in Dresden, Teatro dell´Opera di Roma (Caracalla), Deutsche Oper Rhein, Opera de Québec, Mariinsky Theatre, Teatro Verdi di Trieste and in Boston.


Ketevan made her acclaimed debut as Princess Eboli in Don Carlo at Auditorio de El Escorial, later she sang role of Spanish princess at Israel Opera under the baton of legendary Daniel Oren, at Teatro Real, at Deutsche Oper Rhein and at Tbilisi State Opera. 


She is considered on of the best performer of Belcanto repertoire: Adalgisa opposite legendary Mariela Devia at Teatro Real Madrid, later at Teatro Principal de Palma de Mallorca and at Tbilisi State Opera. She sang Giovanna Seymour in Anna Bolena conducted by great Belcanto conductors as Maurizion Benini, Roberto Rizzi Brignoli and others at Teatro de la Maestranza, at Opera de Lausanne and at Opera Grand Avignon. She made her Polish debut as Elisabetta in Maria Stuarda at Teatr Wielki. Spanish and Italian press praised her Pierotto in Linda di Chamonix at Gran Teatre del Liceu and at Teatro dell´Opera di Roma staged by Spanish director Emilio Sagi. She performed Innes in Maria Padilla at Irish most famous Festival in Wexford. 


Ketevan Kemoklidze is a frequent and welcome guest at Italian theatres: At Teatro alla Scala she performed in different titles as Cosi fan tutte, Il barbiere di Siviglia, Ascanio in Alba, Salome, Manon, A Midsummer’s Night Dream and Rigoletto (she sang Maddalena also on tour in Japan with Teatro alla Scala). She performed Stephano in Romeo et Juliette at Arena di Verona and at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Olga in Eugeni Onegin at Teatro San Carlo in Naples. She appeared at Spoleto Festival in La morte de Cleopatre of Berlioz. She was invited by Maestro Pizzi to sing Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte at Sferisterio Festival and at Teatro delle Muse in Ancona, She performed in Thais at Teatro Reggio Torino.


From her successful trouser roles notable are: Stephano in Romeo et Juliette at Royal Opera House in London, Isolier in "Le comte Ory" at Malmö Opera. She conquested with her breathtaking Cherubino public of Teatro Municipal de Santiago, Opera de Monte Carlo and Teatro Real Madrid where she has already performed Amore in L'arbore di Diana. She made her Greek debut as a Giulio Cesare at Megaron in Thessaloniki. Ketevan interpreted role of Siebel at Gran Teatre del Liceu, at Sferisterio Festival in Macerate and at Teatro Reggio Torino.


She returned to Tokyo and to Washington as Preziosilla in La forza del destino. Appeared as Fenena in Nabucco and as Princess Clarice in Love for the three oranges at Oper Graz. The Special Prize of Gran Teatre del Liceu won at the Belvedere Competition is followed, in 2006, by her Spanish debut in Otello, later and then Laura in La Gioconda and Maddalena in Rigoletto at the same stage and also at Sanxay Festival in France. 
Ketevan Kemoklidze is the first Georgian singer having sang Zarzuela at Teatro de la Zarzuela in Madrid.
From her prestigious concert activities important are: Ivan the Terrible and Alexander Nevsky on tour with St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra under baton of Yuri Temirkanov at Donastia San-Sebastian Music Festival, at Annecy Classic Festival, at Sagra Musicale Malatestiana, at International Music Festival “MITO”. She appeared in Alexander Nevsky also at Bratislava Music Festival, at season opening Gala at Teatro San Carlo in Naples with Maestro Juraj Valcuha and at Palau de la Musica in Valencia. She sang Mahler 2 at inauguration of Tsinandali Festival conducted by Gianandrea Noseda. 


She made her successful Sevilian debut in Berlioz´s La morte de Cleopatre with ROSS undert the baton of John Axelroad.


By invitation of Meastro Claudio Scimone Ketevan sang in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater in Basilica di San Marco in Venice, Handel’s Messiah and Vivaldi's Magnificant  at inauguration of Veneto International Festival with "I Solisti Veneti".


She also sang Il Dolore di Maria Virgine with "I Virtuosi delle Muse" at Teatro Campos in Bilbao, Mozart’s Requiem at Teatro Reggio in Turin, Mahler's Kindertotenlieder and Rückert Lieder at Menhir Music Festival and with Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra in Tbilisi, Stravinsky’s Pulcinella at Teatro alla Scala and at 43rd International Festival of A. B. Michelangelo in Brescia. Ketevan gave the recitals at Theatre du Capitole in Toulouse, Wexford Festival, Hohenems Palest, at Auditori de Palma de Mallorca, Neuburg Kongregationssaal, at Victoria Los Angeles Festival in Barcelona and Tbilisi Grand Hall. 


She appeared in the different concerts at Teatro alla Scala, at the Berliner philarmonikerTheatre of Basel, at Oper Leipzig, at Tbilisi State Opera, at the International Music Festival “MITO”, at the Batumi MusicFest, at the International Music Festival “Settimane Musicali di Stresa”, at the Al Bustan Festival, at the Mozartfest 2006 in Mannheim, in the concert “Placido Domingo and his Georgian friends” in Batumi and etc.


She often takes part in charity concerts AIDS-Gala at Deutsche Oper Berlin and Deutsche Oper am Rein, Theater Bonn and Autism Awareness Supporting Gala at Tbilisi Opera and etc.


In Georgia, with her participation was the first time performed Handel’s Messiah and Bach’s Christmas Oratory and Berlioz´s La morte de Cleopatre. She successfully sang Beethoven’s IX Symphony, Verdi´and Mozart’s Requiem and Messa-Brevis at International Festival “Autumn Tbilisi”. Kemoklidze made her outstanding film debut as Adriana Ferrarese (Donna Elvira) in famous Spanish film director Carlos Saura’s film Io Don Giovanni, having won a special prize at various International Film Festivals.


Her gave Masterclasses at ESMUC in Barcelona, at Conservatoire de Palma de Mallorca, Tbilisi State Conservatoire and etc. 

 

Her discography includes Il barbiere di Siviglia, Romeo et Juliette, Faust, Aids-Gala Berlin, Thais, Otello, A Midsummer's night dream and Salome. 

 

During 2000-2005 she received scholarship of President of Georgia. In 2005 she received Master’s Degree in International Economic Relation.
